Clove buds are the aromatic flower buds of a tree native to the Maluku Islands in Indonesia. Beside its well-know culinary uses, clove has traditionally been used for Indian Ayurvedic medicine, Chinese medicine, and western herbalism and dentistry.
Clove bud oil has a warm (almost hot!), sweet, spicy, rich, and penetrating aroma with a fruity top note and a woody base note.
